Welcome to Muscle Tower!
Muscle Tower is a community driven website dedicated to providing the best user-generated nerd-culture related content the internet has ever seen. Founded by Kristen Kail and Pete originally as a website to showcase Kail's comedy music, it's since expanded to include Kail's blogs, future comics, and podcast series Destroy All Slackers. Being fans of community based Message Boards, Pete came up with the idea of putting one on the site and Kail agreed whole-heartedly.
What Followed would be the meat and potatoes of the site's concept – making it available to the community. Now instead of just Kail's stuff, it includes stuff submitted by users of the Muscle Tower Message Boards.
Want to be featured on the Muscle Tower website? There's limited space for Staff members, but if you host your own stuff you are more than welcome to share it on the message boards, and if you get the thumbs up from Kail and Pete, you'll be bumped onto the staff. Be sure to become a member on our message boards and show off your stuff, because that's the best way to get us to make you a staffer!
The main slacker of the site, known for his comedy karaoke music, his laid back attitude, and his bright red hair. Kail's been called a misogynistic, chauvinistic, disgusting, foul pig for his antics on the podcast DESTROY ALL SLACKERS, and the lyrics of his songs do little to prove otherwise. He started his career in comedy back in 2007 by posting his first songs on myspace, from there him and Pete started the original Kail Online website, which eventually became Muscle Tower.
Webking who coded the very website you see before you, Pete's the designer of the site's custom CMS known as BRIMS (Broken Revolution Internet Management System). He handles all site related problems and even sits in on DESTROY ALL SLACKERS every now and then, where he's worshipped for his knowledge of everything worth knowing.
Muscle Tower Runs on BRIMS
Designed by Pete, BRIMS (Broken Revolution Internet Management System) is the Content Management System that runs both the Muscle Tower and Dude Gurlz websites. The CMS is set up to appear simple on the outside, but contains a remarkably deep back end that allows users to easily post articles, blogs, and content and then just as easily edit that content.
